The Zambia Research and Education Network (ZAMREN) continues to advance its commitment to regional collaboration by hosting the Board of the Tanzania Research and Education Network (TERNET) on a benchmarking visit to Zambia.
Led by Professor William-Andey Anangisye, the TERNET delegation engaged with the ZAMREN Board, chaired by Professor Mundia Muya, in a series of strategic discussions aimed at sharing knowledge, experiences and best practices in the delivery of research and education network services.
Benchmarking visits such as this serve as important platforms for institutional learning and growth. They provide an opportunity for peer organisations to exchange insights on operational models, governance structures and innovative approaches to strengthening digital infrastructure for education and research.
During the engagements, both ZAMREN and TERNET explored areas of mutual interest, including enhancing connectivity, improving service delivery to member institutions and leveraging emerging technologies to support teaching, learning and research across their respective countries.
As National Research and Education Networks (NRENs), both organisations play a critical role in enabling knowledge sharing and collaboration within the academic and research communities. By working together, they contribute to building a stronger and more connected regional ecosystem that supports innovation and development.
ZAMREN remains committed to fostering partnerships that go beyond borders, recognising that collaboration is key to unlocking the full potential of research and education networks across Africa.
